Art Trade - Erik and Christine

Many moons ago, SmudgeThistle kindly held up her side of the Art Trade bargain and drew me Daredevil.  I was meant to draw her something Gothic in black and white like "Paint it Black," so I did this "Phantom of the Opera" piece as I had always wanted to try drawing the moment Christine has to decide whether to turn the scorpion or the grasshopper.  It's a scene that is rarely reproduced in filmed adaptations (though I admit I cannot help but be inspired by the ALW's Final Lair). 

I have had real problems with getting brush pens that last so I had to abandon filling in the value with a pen and tried to do it digitally, although not very well.
