Dorinda Carter

    1.      Dorinda’s favorite memory is when she and her cousin Charles were children and visited the Welsh sea resort of Rhyll with their families.

    2.      Dorinda’s husband was a northern industrialist and from him she has inherited an inherent distrust of strikes and working “troublemakers.”

    3.      Dorinda is naturally clumsy and is poorly suited to the fashion of the day, wide crinoline skirts.

    4.      Dorinda once met the Tenth Doctor and Martha Jones without knowing it. 

    5.      Dorinda and her husband never had children.

    6.      Dorinda enjoys train travel, despite the fact her cousin Charles assures her “the Devil travels by rail.”

    7.      Dorinda was quite a bit younger than her husband and when she married him and moved to Manchester, she sought solace in books to cure her loneliness.  This was mostly the poetry of the Graveyard Poets even though they were somewhat unfashionable by the 1840s. 

    8.      Dorinda is also a fan of J S Bach even though his music is somewhat unfashionable too.
